There's a great movie from the early 1970s called "The New Centurions." It stars George C. Scott, Stacy Keach and Erik Estrada (amongst others).

As the wise old beat cop Andy Kilvinsky (played by George C. Scott) tries to impart his years of wisdom to his rookie (played by Stacy Keach), he imparts the following observations:

“’… today the 'don'ts' are dying or being murdered in the name of freedom and we policemen can't save them. Once the people become accustomed to the death of a 'don't,' well then, the other 'don'ts' die much easier. Usually all the vice laws die first because people are generally vice-ridden anyway. Then the ordinary misdemeanors and some felonies become unenforceable until freedom prevails. Then later the freed people have to organize an army of their own to find order because they learn that freedom is horrifying and ugly and only small doses of it can be tolerated.’"*

Fast forward to 2014. Despite numerous state legislatures that drafted laws banning gay marriages, Despite the fact that these legislation drafts have to survive Constitutional reviews, a majority vote of their respective state legislatures - and often a majority vote of the populace - to become the law of the land, activist judges continue to flaunt such legal due process by legislating from their bench and striking such laws down as "unconstitutional" and therefore enabling gay marriage in those states.

As "Officer Andy Kilvinsky" predicted in the movie, our government keeps murdering our vice laws about homosexuality disguising such abuses of power in the name of "freedom" and  "fairness" and "human rights." While they espouse that such allowances are more what the founding fathers intended in our Constitution's Bill of Rights the rogue judiciary in place today is damned sure trampling all over what our founding fathers intended the limit of their powers to be.

Similarly, tomorrow, the Obama Regime is going to "unveil his long-awaited immigration plan ...changing rules governing deportations that could affect millions of undocumented immigrants...."** So, in other words, despite massive public opinion to the contrary, this rogue president will use yet another abuse of power will issue yet another Executive Order that suddenly grants amnesty (citizenship?) to millions of illegal immigrants who have broke the law entering this country illegally. Again, this rogue president murders our immigration laws  disguising such abuses of power with words of "freedom," "fairness" "opportunity" and "human rights" allegedly as envisioned by the founding fathers. Yet his methods completely ignore what the founding fathers intended as to the limit of the powers of his office.

So if Kilvinsky was right and once we become accustomed to the death of a few "don'ts" (laws) either thru activist judges or an out-of-control President, then the death of other even more significant "don'ts" will die that much easier. And God help us because eventually this same government will - as Kilvinsky prophesied - have to turn the army on us "to find order because they [will have learned] that freedom is horrifying and ugly and only small doses of it can be tolerated."*

But, maybe that's been their plan for some time now....

Obamacare and gun control. It's all about the control....

While eating lunch with a good friend today, we were discussing the terrible current condition that our beloved country has decayed into the past 40 years. During this conversation, the topics of Obamacare and gun control came up.

As I was offering my two cents on these hot topics I said something that I thought was particularly poignant, profound and...well...just damned well phrased. As I was speaking the thought, I thought to myself, "That is brilliant! I should be writing this down!"

So...tonight...I am!

What were these amazing words of wisdom? Just these; that I could not think of a couple of more fraudulent and evil schemes couched in such misleading and "feels good" packaging than Obamacare and gun control.

Why do I say this? Because neither issue is truly about addressing the very problems they purport to solve.

For example; Obamacare has never - let me reiterate that, never - really been about providing healthcare to the "uninsured." Firstly, according to Gallup* in 2012 82% of America were pretty happy with our availability of healthcare. So the real beef - according to the rhetoric from the left - was that poor 18% who wasn't.

Secondly, ignoring for the moment any component of that 18% that was willingly uninsured (e.g., as in might've had it offered but declined to pay for it) AND that the 18% still had access to heatlhcare thru emergency rooms, free clinics and flatout walk-ins to clinics who had to provide care thanks to a mid-1970s SCOTUS decision that prohibits any healthcare providers from denying treatment to those without ability to pay (meaning such costs are passed onto those of us who do pay), if the whole beef was merely about providing free health insurance to those not covered, hell; Obama could've provided such coverage out've the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 and still had money left over.

Instead he and his ilk opted to go for a complete takeover of the entire US healthcare system - that's a hostile takeover (remember, there was no vote of the people on this issue) by the US government of 1/6 of the US economy. And, after this debacle was forced upon us, they're saying 30 million people will still lack health care insurance.** But, thanks to the aforementioned SCOTUS decision, they'll still have the same old access to heatlhcare they always did. So, in fact, the government takeover of the heatlhcare industry didn't solve the problem at all.

And then there's the issue of gun control. Another "fix" that doesn't fix anything. Unless you count the subdued liberties of the masses and the increased power of the government over the people. In that light, it's a raging success!

The cops don't even think gun control is worth a damn at reducing violent crime. "Among the findings of a survey by the industry website PoliceOne, which tallied responses from 15,000 verified active and retired law enforcement professionals, police overwhelmingly favor an armed citizenry and are skeptical of any greater restrictions placed on gun purchase, ownership or accessibility, editor Doug Wyllie said.

"The survey found that 91.5 percent of respondents believe a federal ban on the manufacture or sale of semi-automatic weapons would have no effect or a negative effect on the reduction of violent crime. Though a national assault weapons ban is dead in the water, numerous states — including Maryland, Connecticut and New York — have adopted or enhanced their own bans.
"The vast majority of officers also believe legally armed citizens are important in the reduction of crime rates."***
Not only that, but in US urban areas with the strictist gun control laws, incidents of violent crime are often the highest. For example, "the city of Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the United States.  So has this reduced crime?  Of course not.  As I wrote about recently, the murder rate in Chicago was about 17 percent higher in 2012 than it was in 2011, and Chicago is now considered to be “the deadliest global city“.  If you can believe it, there were about as many murders in Chicago during 2012 as there was in the entire nation of Japan."****
Before Chicago took the lead as the most deadly city in the nation, our nation's capital Washington, DC - a workfree drug zone if there ever was one - held the title. And, like Chicago today, it was illegal in DC until 2012 to own "handgunsautomatic firearms, or high-capacity semi-automatic firearms, as well as prohibited possession of unregistered firearms."***** And in the 1990s, DC averaged 1.3 homicides a day.******
Further, "The United States is #1 in the world in gun ownership, and yet it is only 28th in the world in gun murders per 100,000 people...." "....The violent crime rate in the United States actually fell from 757.7 per 100,000 in 1992 to 386.3 per 100,000 in 2011.  During that same time period, the murder rate fell from 9.3 per 100,000 to 4.7 per 100,000."****

All of this to say that - despite the liberal rhetoric, blatherings and bloviations to the contrary, neither Obamacare nor gun control is about anything other than getting more and more control away from you, me and any other law-abiding, productive citizen of the land and putting us more and more under the thumb and control and at the mercy of the federal government and its centralized control system. Just like it was in the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany and every other tyranny and dictatorship in world history.

So, that's it, Mr. and Mrs. America. If you've ever wondered what a power grab looked like, all ya gots to do is look around. You're living in one - several, as a matter of fact.

Just sayin'....

Our court system is just plain corrupt!

We were all taught in school about the three branches of government and checks and balances system built into American government. The Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government all keep each other supposedly in check and hence balance out any abuses of power any one of them should commit.

Ya, right; not anymore apparently. Why do I say this? Because our court system is corrupt. They're not "checking" anybody. Well, not in terms of Constitutionally "balancing" anything, anyway.

Why do I say this? Because time after time this past decade, whenever the American people whom all three branches supposedly work for, actually vote something into law - something the legislative branch had drafted, put through Constitutional review, then got passed by a majority of the drafting body (House or Senate) before getting it got the majority vote of the people - well if such new law doesn't agree with the corrupt liberal agenda, well an activist judge or a panel of them in the corrupt judicial branch just simply strikes it down as "unconstitutional."

The liberally corrupt judges don't like laws passed by a majority of the people that take action against things like illegal immigration,* gay marriage,** making it harder to commit voter fraud by requiring proof of American citizenship to vote - "only US citizens have the right to vote in federal elections"*** - just to mention a few. So, they just strike them down and make them go away.

Mind you; such corrupt judges need not offer any such opinion as to why - not such that must pass any kind of scrutiny or pass any kind of muster, anyway. This is because nobody and no body (or branch of government) really has much to say about the practice and can't seem to do a damned thing about any such judicial corruptness leading to any

Folks, this out of control judiciary legislating from the bench is not at all the way the founding fathers ever intended the checks and balances system to work. And it is just plain wrong. God help our democracy if this corruption is not stopped and corrected.

Obama in 2010: "[Republicans] can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in the back."

Back in October, 2010 President Barack Obama was feeling his oats. His Democrat party had won a majority in both the House and the Senate. Democrats were ramming every piece of legislation they could through the system as fast as they can – Obamacare and the Stimulus package (aka the Porkulus package because of all the Porkbarrel expenditures it included to Democrat cronies and sympathetic industries) being two of the most notorious.

So, back then a very cocky Obama had the nerve to lecture his opponents on “civility” and “bipartisanship.” But Obama’s definition of bipartisanship back then (and has been through today) is Republicans sign off on everything Democrats want and Dems tell Republicans to stuff whatever GOP efforts are attempted. So, in his arrogance, His Highness Obama told a Woonsocket Rhode Island audience that as for bipartisan “reform,” Republicans “can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in the back.”*

I just find it interesting that in the post-GOP victories from this weeks’ midterm elections – that resulted in GOP majorities now in both the House and the Senate, no GOP leadership nor any conservative talk show host has brought this arrogant, snide and childish comment up from Obama’s past.

For a better America: remember the 3 C's ......

Received this via email this morning. I have no idea if Larry actually said this but it sure sounds like good advice to me!

Cows, the Constitution & the 10 Commandments .....

Direct Quote from "Larry, the Cable Guy"
THIS CABLE GUY HUMOR IS FUNNY; BUT UNFORTUNATELY
ITS TRUE! THE MAN IS A GENIUS!

Think about this:

1. Cows

2. The Constitution
3. The Ten Commandments

COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 20 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

THE CONSTITUTION
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq ....why don't we just give them ours?
It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS
The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this -- you cannot post:
'Thou Shalt Not Steal'
'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' and
'Thou Shall Not Lie'
in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.

Also, think about this ..... If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone --
YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

Hell

This has been going around the internet lately. It is so good and if you think about it soooo very true.

While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator was tragically hit by a car and died.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the Senator.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really?, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Senator.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.
They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises.

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, "Now it's time to visit heaven...”

So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell...

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

"I don't understand," stammers the Senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil smiles at him and says,  "Yesterday we were campaigning, Today, you voted.."

Vote wisely in November 2014
Pray for our country and God Bless America!!
