Wake up, America. The usurpers and subversives haven’t gone away - far from it. PART ONE

Wake up, America - while there’s still time.

While we who truly love this once-great country dearly and want to save it from the hopelessly naive utopians likes of Bernie Sanders and the cancerous termite scum likes of Michael Moore, George Soros, may have been breathing a long overdue sigh of relief with the election of President Donald Trump, now is NOT the time. While we are all rolling up our sleeves and getting behind Trump as he strives to “Make America Great Again, our country is not out of danger yet - far from it!

The termites are actively eating away at the very foundation of our country to say nothing of the support beams and load-bearing walls holding up our freedoms.

This past year we may have been lulled into thinking the biggest obstacle to “MAGA” was motivating the largely spineless GOP Congress to actively and substantively backing Trump and the voting majority who elected him and his MAGA agenda into the Oval Office. We may have been lulled into thinking that sending Hillary Clinton home in defeat and denying her the presidency and the opportunity to further the destruction of America damn near accomplished by Barry Hussein Obama

Bill of rights ratified in 1791 it included first and second amendments that guaranteed - not allowed, but guaranteed!- the American public’s Constitutional rights (not privileges) to freely speak, assemble and worship along with the right to arm itself to protect itself from whatever threats needed - individual or otherwise.

Wake up, America. Do you see what’s been slowly but steadily been happening to those guaranteed rights the past 25 years?

Beginning in Hillary’s husband’s 8 years in power your rights of “Freedom of Religion” came under attack with proposals that tried to assail Christianity with oppressions that tried to make the simple wearing of cross/crucifix jewelry be considered actionable as “religious harassment.” (Remember that? Thankfully that failed to see fruition back then. But, would it nowadays?)

But the disease attacking our freedom of religion, while seemingly in remission the 8 years of George W. Bush was still silently at work to the point where during Obama’s regime freedom OF religion became interpreted to be freedom FROM religion. This manifested itself in continuing to ban school prayer right down to threatening sanctioning individual sports players who knelt in prayer or crossed themselves and pointed to heaven after scoring a great play for their team.

That’s just to mention a few liberal/progressive threats to the first amendment protection of our individual and corporate right to free worship.

Continue on to Part Two....

Wake up, America. The usurpers and subversives haven’t gone away - far from it. PART TWO

And look at what’s happened to free speech all this time! No longer “may sticks and stones break our bones but names will never hurt us.” Oh, no; now we have govt watchdogs and HR depts prosecuting people for “hate” speech (which seems more and more to be interpreted to be anything that liberals don’t like or disagree with).

And have you noticed what’s been happening to the concept in American juris prudence of “fair and equal justice?” What the hell IS a hate crime anyway? Apparently, a beating or a murder is not as bad when committed against individuals not meeting some “pet” demographic that liberals care about. A black perpetrator kills a white family in cold blood and, well, that’s just a simple murder. Or some psychotic Muslim US army psychiatrist shoots up a stateside army medical clinic, well, that’s not a hate crime or even terrorism, but simple “workplace violence.” But, let a couple white kids kill a black kid or a white cop shoot a black perpetrator during the commission of a crime and, well, we need a federal civil rights investigation because those kinds of situations might just damn well be a hate crime - as if a victim is any less beat up or less dead in one kind of homicide versus a “hate crime.”

Seems to me that murder (of anyone) is - on its face - a hate crime. But apparently not to liberals. It’s only a hate crime when racially motivated against blacks, illegal aliens, Muslims or homosexuals. How blatantly lopsided and biased can the law be made? The statues of a blindfolded Goddess Justice that adorns so many courthouses is being made schizophrenic with bias like that so prevalent in the Law.

Further, what’s happening to your right of Assembly? When Tea Party rallies started getting popular for a few years during the Obama regime, suddenly certain Tea Party leaders found themselves being audited by the IRS.

Now...being a patriotic American is - more and more - being blasphemed as "extremist," "right wing" and no longer "upstanding." Believing in the Constitution and it's Bill of Rights as written is sneered at as being a "literalist" and "outdated..."

Continue on to Part Three...

Wake up, America. The usurpers and subversives haven’t gone away - far from it. PART THREE

Have you noticed how the past 10 years or so, the Second Amendment continues to get assailed. Most recently because of the outbreak of mass shootings from just plain mentally ill people or “home grown terrorism.”

One must pay very close attention to where the commas fall in the wording of the Second Amendment to the US Constitution – the second most-important part of your unalienable rights as guaranteed in the Bill of Rights:

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Notice that it’s all one phrase between the commas guaranteeing “…, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.” That’s you and me as in “We the people” as established in the Constitution’s Preamble.as the authors, benefactors and recipients of the rights laid out therein.

And, have you noticed? - slowly but surely and steadily they’re being hemmed in and taken away from us. An over-arching and overly-strong federal government restricting and taking away those very same rights were what the Declaration of Independence and America’s subsequent War For Independence and the later entire body of the Constitution document was all about – nay, is still all about.

And it was to absolutely guarantee those inalienable rights that the whole Bill of Rights to that Constitution was ratified and attached to it was all about – and is still all about.

But, our government has been willing to throw away our individual liberties more and more as liberalism/progressivism – nay, Communism by another name! – has more and more infected this once-great nation. And many of her citizens have been clamoring for this in hopes (or guise) of obtaining more security – in our schools, our shopping malls, our nightclubs and churches thereby embodying Benjamin Franklin’s famous words that “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

And this very same government actively pursuing as well as being pressured to enact stricter and stricter gun laws (like don’t we already have   laws against murdering people?) is the same federal govt that has blown it on entering the necessary information from some of their own investigations of these later-to-be-murderers that would’ve kept them from being able to legally purchase a firearm in the first place. And, oh yes; they want to watch law-abiding legal citizens of this country like you and me far more closely and deny us more and more right to self-protection.

Wake up, America - while there's still time!

Those who call good evil and evil good....

Tricia Bishop, deputy editorial page editor for the Baltimore Sun, stated in her column last Thursday that “I'm less afraid of the criminals wielding guns in Baltimore, I declared as we discussed the issue, than I am by those permitted gun owners. *

Really? Seriously?

Has the liberal propaganda machine so accomplished its objective of vilifying the law-abiding and productive of our society and praising, protecting and prospering the criminal and unproductive and destructive of our society that a member of the fourth estate really and truly feels more comfortable
in the presence of armed criminals than of law-abiding gun owners? Apparently, she does.

Why? Because she “knows how to stay out of the line of Baltimore's illegal gunfire….” Apparently Ms. Bishop is so clairvoyant she also knows how to stay out of traffic accidents, tripping over curbs and catching the common cold as well. Because…she has “the luxury of being white and middle class in a largely segregated city that reserves most of its shootings for poor, black neighborhoods overtaken by ‘the game…’” [whatever the hell that is] and admits that “only exposure to guns has been to legal ones.

She goes on to praise the soft tyrant Barry Hussein Obama and his crackdown on the Second Amendment and says that “Guns in the home are far more likely to be used accidentally, in suicides or family disputes than in self defense, according to studies based on anecdotal evidence.”  Lest you be too persuaded by her “evidence” let me point out that dictionary.com defines “anecdotal evidence” as non-scientific observations or studies, which do not provide proof but may assist research efforts.”

I’ll bet. When it’s not based on anything scientific or quantitative, one could make it assist the hell out of their “research” efforts by claiming it to say anything they want it to – just like Ms. Bishop does in her column.

Ms. Bishop and her kind are all very reminiscent of the prophesy in Isaiah 5:20: re "... those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

And of Thomas Jefferson who said “"When government fears the people, there is liberty.”** And “"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."***

But, instead, Ms. Bishop and her kind fear a law-abiding gun owner than a tyrannical government or even a criminal intent on doing harm to others – illegally. I wonder if she would be as equally incensed if the government she so admires and trusts were to suddenly demand a want of registry list of all columnists who legally write such columns as hers???

This quotation is vaguely similar to Jefferson's comment in an 1825 letter to William Short: "Some are whigs, liberals, democrats, call them what you please. Others are tories, serviles, aristocrats, &c. The latter fear the people, and wish to transfer all power to the higher classes of society; the former consider the people as the safest depository of power in the last resort; they cherish them therefore, and wish to leave in them all the powers to the exercise of which they are competent."5 To date, however, the most likely source of this quotation appears to be a series of debates on socialism published in 1914, in which John Basil Barnhill said, "Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Obamacare and gun control. It's all about the control....

While eating lunch with a good friend today, we were discussing the terrible current condition that our beloved country has decayed into the past 40 years. During this conversation, the topics of Obamacare and gun control came up.

As I was offering my two cents on these hot topics I said something that I thought was particularly poignant, profound and...well...just damned well phrased. As I was speaking the thought, I thought to myself, "That is brilliant! I should be writing this down!"

So...tonight...I am!

What were these amazing words of wisdom? Just these; that I could not think of a couple of more fraudulent and evil schemes couched in such misleading and "feels good" packaging than Obamacare and gun control.

Why do I say this? Because neither issue is truly about addressing the very problems they purport to solve.

For example; Obamacare has never - let me reiterate that, never - really been about providing healthcare to the "uninsured." Firstly, according to Gallup* in 2012 82% of America were pretty happy with our availability of healthcare. So the real beef - according to the rhetoric from the left - was that poor 18% who wasn't.

Secondly, ignoring for the moment any component of that 18% that was willingly uninsured (e.g., as in might've had it offered but declined to pay for it) AND that the 18% still had access to heatlhcare thru emergency rooms, free clinics and flatout walk-ins to clinics who had to provide care thanks to a mid-1970s SCOTUS decision that prohibits any healthcare providers from denying treatment to those without ability to pay (meaning such costs are passed onto those of us who do pay), if the whole beef was merely about providing free health insurance to those not covered, hell; Obama could've provided such coverage out've the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 and still had money left over.

Instead he and his ilk opted to go for a complete takeover of the entire US healthcare system - that's a hostile takeover (remember, there was no vote of the people on this issue) by the US government of 1/6 of the US economy. And, after this debacle was forced upon us, they're saying 30 million people will still lack health care insurance.** But, thanks to the aforementioned SCOTUS decision, they'll still have the same old access to heatlhcare they always did. So, in fact, the government takeover of the heatlhcare industry didn't solve the problem at all.

And then there's the issue of gun control. Another "fix" that doesn't fix anything. Unless you count the subdued liberties of the masses and the increased power of the government over the people. In that light, it's a raging success!

The cops don't even think gun control is worth a damn at reducing violent crime. "Among the findings of a survey by the industry website PoliceOne, which tallied responses from 15,000 verified active and retired law enforcement professionals, police overwhelmingly favor an armed citizenry and are skeptical of any greater restrictions placed on gun purchase, ownership or accessibility, editor Doug Wyllie said.

"The survey found that 91.5 percent of respondents believe a federal ban on the manufacture or sale of semi-automatic weapons would have no effect or a negative effect on the reduction of violent crime. Though a national assault weapons ban is dead in the water, numerous states — including Maryland, Connecticut and New York — have adopted or enhanced their own bans.
"The vast majority of officers also believe legally armed citizens are important in the reduction of crime rates."***
Not only that, but in US urban areas with the strictist gun control laws, incidents of violent crime are often the highest. For example, "the city of Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the United States.  So has this reduced crime?  Of course not.  As I wrote about recently, the murder rate in Chicago was about 17 percent higher in 2012 than it was in 2011, and Chicago is now considered to be “the deadliest global city“.  If you can believe it, there were about as many murders in Chicago during 2012 as there was in the entire nation of Japan."****
Before Chicago took the lead as the most deadly city in the nation, our nation's capital Washington, DC - a workfree drug zone if there ever was one - held the title. And, like Chicago today, it was illegal in DC until 2012 to own "handgunsautomatic firearms, or high-capacity semi-automatic firearms, as well as prohibited possession of unregistered firearms."***** And in the 1990s, DC averaged 1.3 homicides a day.******
Further, "The United States is #1 in the world in gun ownership, and yet it is only 28th in the world in gun murders per 100,000 people...." "....The violent crime rate in the United States actually fell from 757.7 per 100,000 in 1992 to 386.3 per 100,000 in 2011.  During that same time period, the murder rate fell from 9.3 per 100,000 to 4.7 per 100,000."****

All of this to say that - despite the liberal rhetoric, blatherings and bloviations to the contrary, neither Obamacare nor gun control is about anything other than getting more and more control away from you, me and any other law-abiding, productive citizen of the land and putting us more and more under the thumb and control and at the mercy of the federal government and its centralized control system. Just like it was in the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany and every other tyranny and dictatorship in world history.

So, that's it, Mr. and Mrs. America. If you've ever wondered what a power grab looked like, all ya gots to do is look around. You're living in one - several, as a matter of fact.

Just sayin'....
