God, guns and guts; going, going…gone?

Saw a thought-provoking bumper sticker on my morning commute. From the back of the vehicle ahead of me, It proclaimed “God, guns and guts - have kept America free for over 200 years!”

Things that make ya say “Hmm....”

It occurs to me that over the past several decades God has been pretty thoroughly pushed out - out of schools, the workplace, government and the courts and the media....

And, we’ve so watered down our stamina through handout programs and societal concepts that we can’t risk offending anybody at all over anything and “everyone get’s a trophy” that we as a people don’t really have the “guts” we were once so famous for having - no where close to it.

So...here we sit on the precipice of the great abyss... the week before a planned nationwide school student walkout for safer schools in the wake of the latest mass murder in a “gun free zone” (as all public schools are). Now, they’re not walking out demanding armed police be stationed INside their schools to protect them. They’re not demanding a few armed and trained teachers to be able to respond far quicker from INside the school than law enforcement OUTside and from farther away could do.

They’re not even demanding stricter laws governing what people with documented mental illness and criminal records can walk among us and purchase firearms.

Oh, no; they’re demanding we take punitive action against the gun! Like take it away kind of actions, banning certain kinds of semi-automatic firearms and magazines greater than a handful of rounds and so on.

So, God’s pretty well gone from our everyday culture. The people with “guts” are more and more dissipating from our world. When guns are gone, how long will America – as we ever knew it – last?

Why should firearms be different than high-speed sports cars, alcohol or tobacco?

As these psychotics continue to shoot up public places - schools, churches, restaurants, and shopping malls - continuing to add to the tragic body count, the "usual suspects" (liberals, the media, etc) start up the predictable harping their usual cries for gun control. And as they do, they continue to display inconsistent logic, hypocritical standards and their whole lack of respect for and knowledge of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

They employ tactics like asking gun owners "Why do you need a fill the blank with the appropriate firearm or associated accessory?"

I would counter their question with a question: Do we question why someone buys a car capable going twice as fast as any speed limit anywhere? No, we are satisfied that because they want it, that’s good enough with the common sense to say if they misuse it and kill somebody (or several somebodies, they're going to jail). So, why should a semi-automatic weapon be any different?

Why do we allow someone to buy unlimited amounts of alcohol - on the face of it, way beyond the amount that one human could safely consume - and yet content ourselves with the common sense that if they overdrink and hurt somebody or somebodies they go to jail? Why would a semiautomatic firearm be any different?

And, it should be pointed out; there is no Constitutional right to purchase or own alcohol like the Second Amendment provides for firearms.

Why do we allow the sale of tobacco - a known carcinogen and literally a killer of millions - that has no positive benefit other than to quench someone else’s desire for it. Yet, we let people buy it without questioning why they do it. And they're allowed to buy it with no special permits, waiting periods or background checks. And when people misuse tobacco, nobody throws a hissy and calls for its ban. So why should a firearm be treated differently than tobacco.

And, remember; there is no Constitutional right to purchase or own alcohol like the Second Amendment provides for firearms.

Its called freedom and individual liberties and, oh yes, in the case of firearms it's the legal premise that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” just like the Second Amendment in the Bill of RIGHTS to the US Constitution says.

Yet, one has to ask, why is it that liberals are oh-so-eager to deny those Constitutionally-protected rights of gun owners and/or to legislate them to death to the point they practially don’t exist? And why do they throw a hissy whenever anyone suggests a law requiring a valid ID to vote? Why should firearms be treated differently than the right to vote? "An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can."* (The Patriot)

Because, as these gun-grabbing liberals demonstrate more and more every day with their inconsistencies and lack of sound logic, to them “gun control” is only about getting more and more control over everyone else and has little or nothing at all to do with guns.

The only legitimate version of gun control is the one that allows you to hit what you’re aiming at.

Wake up, America. The usurpers and subversives haven’t gone away - far from it. PART ONE

Wake up, America - while there’s still time.

While we who truly love this once-great country dearly and want to save it from the hopelessly naive utopians likes of Bernie Sanders and the cancerous termite scum likes of Michael Moore, George Soros, may have been breathing a long overdue sigh of relief with the election of President Donald Trump, now is NOT the time. While we are all rolling up our sleeves and getting behind Trump as he strives to “Make America Great Again, our country is not out of danger yet - far from it!

The termites are actively eating away at the very foundation of our country to say nothing of the support beams and load-bearing walls holding up our freedoms.

This past year we may have been lulled into thinking the biggest obstacle to “MAGA” was motivating the largely spineless GOP Congress to actively and substantively backing Trump and the voting majority who elected him and his MAGA agenda into the Oval Office. We may have been lulled into thinking that sending Hillary Clinton home in defeat and denying her the presidency and the opportunity to further the destruction of America damn near accomplished by Barry Hussein Obama

Bill of rights ratified in 1791 it included first and second amendments that guaranteed - not allowed, but guaranteed!- the American public’s Constitutional rights (not privileges) to freely speak, assemble and worship along with the right to arm itself to protect itself from whatever threats needed - individual or otherwise.

Wake up, America. Do you see what’s been slowly but steadily been happening to those guaranteed rights the past 25 years?

Beginning in Hillary’s husband’s 8 years in power your rights of “Freedom of Religion” came under attack with proposals that tried to assail Christianity with oppressions that tried to make the simple wearing of cross/crucifix jewelry be considered actionable as “religious harassment.” (Remember that? Thankfully that failed to see fruition back then. But, would it nowadays?)

But the disease attacking our freedom of religion, while seemingly in remission the 8 years of George W. Bush was still silently at work to the point where during Obama’s regime freedom OF religion became interpreted to be freedom FROM religion. This manifested itself in continuing to ban school prayer right down to threatening sanctioning individual sports players who knelt in prayer or crossed themselves and pointed to heaven after scoring a great play for their team.

That’s just to mention a few liberal/progressive threats to the first amendment protection of our individual and corporate right to free worship.

Continue on to Part Two....

Wake up, America. The usurpers and subversives haven’t gone away - far from it. PART TWO

And look at what’s happened to free speech all this time! No longer “may sticks and stones break our bones but names will never hurt us.” Oh, no; now we have govt watchdogs and HR depts prosecuting people for “hate” speech (which seems more and more to be interpreted to be anything that liberals don’t like or disagree with).

And have you noticed what’s been happening to the concept in American juris prudence of “fair and equal justice?” What the hell IS a hate crime anyway? Apparently, a beating or a murder is not as bad when committed against individuals not meeting some “pet” demographic that liberals care about. A black perpetrator kills a white family in cold blood and, well, that’s just a simple murder. Or some psychotic Muslim US army psychiatrist shoots up a stateside army medical clinic, well, that’s not a hate crime or even terrorism, but simple “workplace violence.” But, let a couple white kids kill a black kid or a white cop shoot a black perpetrator during the commission of a crime and, well, we need a federal civil rights investigation because those kinds of situations might just damn well be a hate crime - as if a victim is any less beat up or less dead in one kind of homicide versus a “hate crime.”

Seems to me that murder (of anyone) is - on its face - a hate crime. But apparently not to liberals. It’s only a hate crime when racially motivated against blacks, illegal aliens, Muslims or homosexuals. How blatantly lopsided and biased can the law be made? The statues of a blindfolded Goddess Justice that adorns so many courthouses is being made schizophrenic with bias like that so prevalent in the Law.

Further, what’s happening to your right of Assembly? When Tea Party rallies started getting popular for a few years during the Obama regime, suddenly certain Tea Party leaders found themselves being audited by the IRS.

Now...being a patriotic American is - more and more - being blasphemed as "extremist," "right wing" and no longer "upstanding." Believing in the Constitution and it's Bill of Rights as written is sneered at as being a "literalist" and "outdated..."

Continue on to Part Three...

Wake up, America. The usurpers and subversives haven’t gone away - far from it. PART THREE

Have you noticed how the past 10 years or so, the Second Amendment continues to get assailed. Most recently because of the outbreak of mass shootings from just plain mentally ill people or “home grown terrorism.”

One must pay very close attention to where the commas fall in the wording of the Second Amendment to the US Constitution – the second most-important part of your unalienable rights as guaranteed in the Bill of Rights:

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Notice that it’s all one phrase between the commas guaranteeing “…, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.” That’s you and me as in “We the people” as established in the Constitution’s Preamble.as the authors, benefactors and recipients of the rights laid out therein.

And, have you noticed? - slowly but surely and steadily they’re being hemmed in and taken away from us. An over-arching and overly-strong federal government restricting and taking away those very same rights were what the Declaration of Independence and America’s subsequent War For Independence and the later entire body of the Constitution document was all about – nay, is still all about.

And it was to absolutely guarantee those inalienable rights that the whole Bill of Rights to that Constitution was ratified and attached to it was all about – and is still all about.

But, our government has been willing to throw away our individual liberties more and more as liberalism/progressivism – nay, Communism by another name! – has more and more infected this once-great nation. And many of her citizens have been clamoring for this in hopes (or guise) of obtaining more security – in our schools, our shopping malls, our nightclubs and churches thereby embodying Benjamin Franklin’s famous words that “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

And this very same government actively pursuing as well as being pressured to enact stricter and stricter gun laws (like don’t we already have   laws against murdering people?) is the same federal govt that has blown it on entering the necessary information from some of their own investigations of these later-to-be-murderers that would’ve kept them from being able to legally purchase a firearm in the first place. And, oh yes; they want to watch law-abiding legal citizens of this country like you and me far more closely and deny us more and more right to self-protection.

Wake up, America - while there's still time!

What the media and the liberals refuse to discuss about mass shootings.

Agree or  disagree with me as you will, but I want to point out a few things.

No one - legal gun owner or gun opponent - advocates or condones or in anyway “likes” this kind of misuse of firearms. However, liberals over the past 5 decades have:

  • succeeded in removing any mention of God in schools in just about any way at all,
  •  succeeded in taking discipline completely out of the classroom, to the point these kids aren’t even taught the most basics in self-control and mental toughness,

  •  succeeded in removing any kind of Christian morality out of schools and instead embraced and installed the code of morality that “whatever makes a person happy” is the appropriate morality (right down to the point kids now aren’t sure which restroom, boys or girls, they or their classmates should use),

  •  have advanced the agenda that those persons of any faith other than the politically correct kinds - Buddhism, Muslims or even Satanist- are “extremists,” “hate-mongers” and even “racists.”

Therefore to teach any kind of Creationism, school prayer - even by 1 individual football or baseball player who takes a knee in thanks to God for scoring a touchdown or a home run, or any Valedictorian or Salutatorian speeches crediting their Christian faith or mention of Jesus, or any t-shirt or hat or sticker on a notebook that mentions a pro-life stance or even “Make America Great Again” is offensive and inappropriate to be done or worn on school property.

Almost succeeded in destroying any kind of faith in our nation’s leaders, our protectors the police and the whole civic process right down to the point of accusing the Founding Fathers of being evil, racist slave owners who only built this country through oppression and slave labor and desire to dominate the world and that our national anthem is racist and not worthy of the respect of standing and saluting our flag.

So... ask yourself; is it really all that hard to believe that these morally-confused kids are more and more killing each other? And, is that really the fault that guns exist?

And of course, the anti-gun crowd and the liberal puppets in the propaganda ministry that masks itself as a mainstream media try to paint a paradigm of any legal gun owner being a hair’s breadth away from “going off their nut” and shooting up a shopping mall, their workplace or a restaurant or something.

Then ask yourself; how come back in the “cowboy days” (aka the “wild” west days) when every cowhand, blacksmith, storekeeper or hotel owner had a loaded firearm nearby if not strapped on their hip, there weren’t these kinds of shootings?

Then ask yourself; even if guns are outlawed and they really could round up every legally-owned firearm from every private citizen in the US, how can the black market purchase or theft of firearms keep them out of the hands of those who – like this mentally-damaged kid or the common criminal or…wait for it…the terrorist – shouldn’t have one.

Yeah, how is it that if terrorism is outlawed, and terrorists are wanted, hunted men, how the heck can they keep getting guns to the ISIS, al Qaeda etc?

And ask yourself this; if there’s already dozens and dozens of laws against murder, assault with a deadly weapon, shooting a firearm within city limits and etc etc etc, how on God’s green earth will one more law or a dozen more laws prohibiting firearm ownership do one danged thing to prevent some lunatic like these mass shooters from striking back at society and shooting up a school, a movie theater, a church or whatever?

The answer is, it won’t. And ask yourself this; why is it that the people crying for gun control will in no way consider putting a well-trained, armed presence inside a school – either several armed teachers or even armed police officers assigned to the school as their regular beat. They don’t want to even to consider any solutions like this.

And why not? Because “gun control” for liberals is only about control and nothing to do with guns. They just want to take more and more of our individual liberties – firearm ownership is guaranteed in the wording of the Second Amendment remember (“…the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."). And a completely disarmed American public would certainly make that a lot easier.

If you outlaw guns, only the outlaws and an oppressive government will have the guns.

Ronnie Dunn is right.
The illogic and stupidity of the anti-gun narrative is as obvious as daylight – except to the likes of Barry Obama and Hillary Clinton and their ilk.
But of course, gun control isn’t REALLY about guns at all. It's all about more governmental control over the masses. And THAT is the breeding ground of despotism, tyranny and oppression.

The soft tyranny dictatorship tightens its stranglehold.

Today, in a 7-4 vote, the absolutely out-of-control 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in the Hopeless State of Californication upheld a California law that says applicants must supply a "good cause" (aka “just cause”) to obtain a concealed-carry firearms permit.* This ruling overturned a previous decision by that very same court that allowed carry-concealed permits to be granted to applicants who only wanted to have them for personal safety.

This ruling, while binding in nine Western states, sets some terrible precedent that can be used against law-abiding gun owners who currently possess carry-concealed permits granted in the other 41 states – especially if this issue makes it into other Circuits’ appeals courts or the Supreme Court of the United States. This ruling will require even law-abiding citizens to show that they routinely carry large amounts of cash or valuables or are being stalked or threatened or – remember it’s California - are celebrities who fear for their safety.

Realize this appeal attempts to deny the:
  1. very wording of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution (item # 2 of the Bill of RIGHTS) that states "the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed," and
  2. The lawful right of a law-abiding citizen who is legally licensed by a state NOT requiring such a "good cause" (also called "just cause") to have such a carry concealed permit:
Sadly, the soft tyranny dictatorship that our federal government has become is slowly but surely tightening its stranglehold on its subjects. Today was just one more nail in the coffin lid for the once-great nation of the United States.

Hesston shooting and gun control hysteria

Tonight, our country is reeling from yet another mass shooting. This time it happened in a small, quiet Kansas town - Hesston. Sadly, this is becoming all the more routine.

As such, the gun control lobby will be seizing on this opportunity to rail - as usual - for ever-stricter gun laws. You know it's coming. It always does. But before this usual mantra gets too much traction, let's take a look at the facts:

What we know as of 7:30 pm Central time:

  • The shooter in this incident was killed by law enforcement officers during the incident.
  • Unfortunately, not before he claimed 20-or-so victims - two of whom have died.
  • He posted video of him shooting an automatic weapon [as in NOT a semi-automatic weapon] on his Facebook page September 20, 2015.
  • According to online court records, Ford has a criminal record in Harvey County, Kansas. He was arrested on December 17, 2010, and charged with a parole violation, domestic battery, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, traffic violations and theft.*
  • And he has a felony record in Florida (Broward and Miramar counties) from 1997-2000 for multiple burglary convictions, grand theft, fleeing from police, aggravated fleeing and eluding, and a prowling conviction.**

So before the liberals start running their mouths with the usual hysteria about more gun control laws and how nobody should own guns with magazines greater than [you pick the capacity] blahblahblahblahblah, let me point out a few things;

  • Convicted felons cannot own guns of any kind, and
  • For even those eligible for gun ownership, machine gun - automatic vs semi-automatic weapon ownership takes special federal permits and licenses.
Hence, it seems to me that the problem has little or nothing to do with existing laws. Said shooter was not eligible to own a firearm of ANY kind and certainly not an automatic weapon.

Maybe there's not a lack of laws causing the problem, but rather a lack of enforcement of current laws...

And while we're at it, maybe our society should take a look at how the lack of
  • common moral values ("Thou shalt not murder," comes to mind),
  • respect for the value of human life, and
  • a society that emphasizes "it's all about me" thinking
leads to this kind of breakdown.

Yeah, like that's gonna happen. Those kinds of subjects aren't "politically-correct." And, building up the moral fiber of our culture won't enable certain elitists to further take away the rights and liberties of law-abiding citizens.

And so, tragically, this kind of insanity will likely continue as our culture continues its slide down into the abyss....

72 Killed resisting Gun Confiscation in Boston

Please read this to the end.  I think it is such a wonderful reminder of what our current state of affairs can become.................

The headline read: “72 Killed resisting Gun Confiscation in Boston"

Boston – National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons
were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement
sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were
compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist
faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest
movement.

Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue
offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive
order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s
efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry
to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This
decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders
at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people
would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops.
Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 20, 1775.

On July 4th, 1776 these same extremists signed the Declaration of Independence, pledging to each other and their countrymen their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. Many of them lost everything, including their families and their lives over the course of the next few years.

Lest we forget…. It'll be worse next time.  No one uses muzzle loaders now.

Those who call good evil and evil good....

Tricia Bishop, deputy editorial page editor for the Baltimore Sun, stated in her column last Thursday that “I'm less afraid of the criminals wielding guns in Baltimore, I declared as we discussed the issue, than I am by those permitted gun owners. *

Really? Seriously?

Has the liberal propaganda machine so accomplished its objective of vilifying the law-abiding and productive of our society and praising, protecting and prospering the criminal and unproductive and destructive of our society that a member of the fourth estate really and truly feels more comfortable
in the presence of armed criminals than of law-abiding gun owners? Apparently, she does.

Why? Because she “knows how to stay out of the line of Baltimore's illegal gunfire….” Apparently Ms. Bishop is so clairvoyant she also knows how to stay out of traffic accidents, tripping over curbs and catching the common cold as well. Because…she has “the luxury of being white and middle class in a largely segregated city that reserves most of its shootings for poor, black neighborhoods overtaken by ‘the game…’” [whatever the hell that is] and admits that “only exposure to guns has been to legal ones.

She goes on to praise the soft tyrant Barry Hussein Obama and his crackdown on the Second Amendment and says that “Guns in the home are far more likely to be used accidentally, in suicides or family disputes than in self defense, according to studies based on anecdotal evidence.”  Lest you be too persuaded by her “evidence” let me point out that dictionary.com defines “anecdotal evidence” as non-scientific observations or studies, which do not provide proof but may assist research efforts.”

I’ll bet. When it’s not based on anything scientific or quantitative, one could make it assist the hell out of their “research” efforts by claiming it to say anything they want it to – just like Ms. Bishop does in her column.

Ms. Bishop and her kind are all very reminiscent of the prophesy in Isaiah 5:20: re "... those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

And of Thomas Jefferson who said “"When government fears the people, there is liberty.”** And “"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."***

But, instead, Ms. Bishop and her kind fear a law-abiding gun owner than a tyrannical government or even a criminal intent on doing harm to others – illegally. I wonder if she would be as equally incensed if the government she so admires and trusts were to suddenly demand a want of registry list of all columnists who legally write such columns as hers???

We don’t need more gun control we need to emphasize SELF Control...and common sense!

Everytime one of these senseless and horrific mass shootings occurs – Columbine, Sandy Hook the Denver movie theater and now - with Islamic terrorism happening on American soil – San Bernadino, Barack Hussein Obama and his ilk on the left immediately start chattering hysterically about needing more and more and more gun control.

Well, I have news for you, Obama et al; the answer to Columbine, Sandy Hook, Virginia Teach and other similar active shooter situations is not more gun control. Rather, as far as solutions go, the solution to deranged, unstable non-Muslims going off their nut and blasting away at a room full of unarmed innocents is…wait for it…more and more and more SELF control.

Liberals and other gun control fans love to analogize a more heavily armed society with the Wild West and start talking about shootouts and blahblahblahblahblah. Well, the facts are that the amount of gunfights – be they two people standing in the middle of a deserted dusty street challenging each other to “draw, partner!” or teams of 3 or 4 each spread out across the rocks blasting away at each other – were factually few and far between. So much so that “Wild West” museums struggle with the problem of depicting Early American West history as historically factual (i.e., no gun fights) or to fudge a little on the period-correctness and have a larger percentage of gunfights than was ever really a part of the era, just to attract attendance and live up to the visitors’ paradigm of “The Old West.”
Let put that a different way. The historical record shows that even in a society as the “Old/Wild West” was with next to zero gun laws and a prolifically-armed populace where everyone was openly packing a “shootin’ iron” on their hip and every horse’s saddle incorporated a lever action repeating carbine there weren’t enough real shootings or shoot outs

No, Barry et al; the answer is NOT yanking guns away from private, law-abiding citizenry. It’s about getting back to teaching a consistent moral code to people from birth to death and enforcing that. Remember this nation really was founded on Judeo-Christian values that teach “Thou Shall Not Murder”*

And – central to this – they punished murderers in the “Old West” – swiftly, promptly and fatally. They “hung ‘em high” and were damned quick about it. No sitting in jail for 30 years while a dozen appeals were filed, activist judges ruled capital punishment “unconstitutional” or waiting on repeals from the governor.

No, the answer is not more gun control. Look at Washington, DC. In the 1980s and ‘90s it was known as the “murder capital” of the USA yet had the strictest gun control laws in the country.** California has the strictest gun control laws in existence in America today*** And in France there is no right to bear arms and one has to submit to a psychological evaluation and repeatedly renew a license to even own a gun over there.****

So, bottom line; for non-Islamic terrorism mass shootings, an additional solution is to cease “mainstreaming” the more unstable. Remember the Sandy Hook shooter and Columbine shooters and the Denver theater shooter all had serious obvious and demonstrated mental health issues. I’m sorry but we need to sequester those folks away from society (like we used to do). Don’t just medicate ‘em and send ‘em on their way.  Nothing’s going to guarantee they’re going to stay on those meds and not hurt anybody.

The answer is not “safe zones” on college campuses, “gun free” public buildings or any of that feels good but proven ineffective as hell stupidness. The answer is let law-abiding Americans arm themselves so they at least have a fightin’ chance at surviving should someone try this violence in their presence.

As for the Islamic terrorism thing; again Obama et al, the answer is not restricting gun rights. And it sure as hell isn’t shove more undocumented, unknown “refugees” from those countries down our throats (maybe I should say at our throats) and into our cities and neighborhoods. No, we need more self control and common sense from Obama et al on immigration – particularly from Muslim countries.

And in an active terrorist shooting event, a prolifically-armed society of law-abiding citizens has a far better chance of incident survival than does a heavily-armed police force that can’t be everywhere. Take yesterday for example. The area of the San Bernadino shooting, the area in and around the Inland Center, was literally swarming with law enforcement. And they brought in some big military-style equipment.

Fat lotta good. All that didn’t do one thing for the 14 killed and 17 wounded and who knows how many traumatized by the event. The cops – I don’t care how armed they are – can’t be everywhere at once.

*Original Hebrew Torah verb used in the sixth commandment was “rastah” which only refers to criminal acts of taking another’s life. Even the liberal Washington Post is questioning the effectiveness of gun control laws.
