There's a great movie from the early 1970s called "The New Centurions." It stars George C. Scott, Stacy Keach and Erik Estrada (amongst others).

As the wise old beat cop Andy Kilvinsky (played by George C. Scott) tries to impart his years of wisdom to his rookie (played by Stacy Keach), he imparts the following observations:

“’… today the 'don'ts' are dying or being murdered in the name of freedom and we policemen can't save them. Once the people become accustomed to the death of a 'don't,' well then, the other 'don'ts' die much easier. Usually all the vice laws die first because people are generally vice-ridden anyway. Then the ordinary misdemeanors and some felonies become unenforceable until freedom prevails. Then later the freed people have to organize an army of their own to find order because they learn that freedom is horrifying and ugly and only small doses of it can be tolerated.’"*

Fast forward to 2014. Despite numerous state legislatures that drafted laws banning gay marriages, Despite the fact that these legislation drafts have to survive Constitutional reviews, a majority vote of their respective state legislatures - and often a majority vote of the populace - to become the law of the land, activist judges continue to flaunt such legal due process by legislating from their bench and striking such laws down as "unconstitutional" and therefore enabling gay marriage in those states.

As "Officer Andy Kilvinsky" predicted in the movie, our government keeps murdering our vice laws about homosexuality disguising such abuses of power in the name of "freedom" and  "fairness" and "human rights." While they espouse that such allowances are more what the founding fathers intended in our Constitution's Bill of Rights the rogue judiciary in place today is damned sure trampling all over what our founding fathers intended the limit of their powers to be.

Similarly, tomorrow, the Obama Regime is going to "unveil his long-awaited immigration plan ...changing rules governing deportations that could affect millions of undocumented immigrants...."** So, in other words, despite massive public opinion to the contrary, this rogue president will use yet another abuse of power will issue yet another Executive Order that suddenly grants amnesty (citizenship?) to millions of illegal immigrants who have broke the law entering this country illegally. Again, this rogue president murders our immigration laws  disguising such abuses of power with words of "freedom," "fairness" "opportunity" and "human rights" allegedly as envisioned by the founding fathers. Yet his methods completely ignore what the founding fathers intended as to the limit of the powers of his office.

So if Kilvinsky was right and once we become accustomed to the death of a few "don'ts" (laws) either thru activist judges or an out-of-control President, then the death of other even more significant "don'ts" will die that much easier. And God help us because eventually this same government will - as Kilvinsky prophesied - have to turn the army on us "to find order because they [will have learned] that freedom is horrifying and ugly and only small doses of it can be tolerated."*

But, maybe that's been their plan for some time now....

  1. The American people are getting screwed by an imperial President. We're So Frickin' Screwed.

My friend Robert said he'd like to see state legislatures start working towards secession.
