Oh, the hypocrisy.... Sadly, nothing new from the left.

Both the hypocrisy of the liberal left and Corporate America's passion for money have always been amazingly obvious. (And I say that as an ardent political Conservative and a fan of capitalism). But both have never been more obvious than in how they have reacted to a couple of state laws requiring people to use the restroom to use the restroom that match their genitalia.

Cases in point; first, musicians and actors have always had trouble recognizing their true contribution to society is only entertainment. Bruce Springsteen decided he was canceling a concert because of North Carolina's recent state law requiring the matching of genitalia to restroom facilities. Springsteen even threatened to cancel an upcoming concert in Michigan if that state passed a similar law. As hypocrite liberals usually do, the oh-so-self-righteous Springsteen rationalized his “restraint of trade” position by claiming it to be in the interest of “recognizing the human rights of all of our citizens….”*

But, one has to ask; why is it ok for Springsteen to refuse to do business with people in states that enact laws he and his leftist buddies disagree with and his actions even applauded by the left but they line up to cry “foul by discrimination and hate” when a private cake decorating business or wedding photography business claims their religious beliefs prevent them from serving gays who request them to do something for their gay wedding?

And why do they condemn the rights of private businesses who protest having to pay for health benefits offensive to their religious beliefs like those pet causes of the left like abortion services?**

And the National Basketball Association has even jumped on the bandwagon claiming to be “deeply concerned that [North Carolina’s restroom law] is a “discriminatory law runs counter to our guiding principles of equality and mutual respect….”So much so they were considering pulling the location of the NBA All Star game from Charlotte.*** Yeah. Right. That’s why the oh-so-equality-minded NBA sexually discriminates by keeping women pro players in their own league (WNBA) and refusing to let them play in the men's league, right?

And the hypocritical stupidity doesn’t stop there. PayPal, the online payments company, has announced cancelation of its plan to open a 400-employee global operations center in Charlotte, North Carolina because of the new law. PayPal claims the law “perpetuates discrimination and it violates the values and principles that are at the core of PayPal’s mission and culture….”

Taking their own statement at face value, PayPal’s mission and culture must fundamentally be to promote the LGBTQXYZ agenda. Not surprising considering how its founder and former CEO Peter Thiel is a known homosexual and contributor to gay rights causes.****  Yet, PayPal has located other offices “in some of the most anti-gay countries in the world” – like the United Arab Emirates which “employs the penalty of death to those convicted of being gay or performing gay sex. So, PayPal punishes North Carolina for keeping men out of the ladies' room while sucking up to a government that executes people just because they're gay.”***** Yep, pretty hypocritical and inconsistent.

But, so what else is new from the oh-so-tolerant liberal left and from business when the almighty dollar is under threat because of political correctness?

Ladies and gentlemen and those in-between; if you thought the fates of Sodom and Gomorrah was just an Old Testament bible story, I have news for you. Look around you. This very fallen and broken world and our own nation are both living out that same story with every passing day.
